Case Study:

Maine Seacoast Mission

Project Description

A deeply trusted nonprofit with a long history was looking to better reflect their current goals and unite their diverse areas of service under one cohesive identity. Pica shifted the Seacoast Mission’s marketing focus away from boat imagery and toward inspiring stories drawn from the community of people they work with. We directed an ambitious and personal video and photo shoot that fueled not only an advertising campaign, but a holistic evolution of how the organization thinks of themselves. What followed were many marketing projects to convey that thinking to their stakeholders and audience.

Fun fact: The client refers to this marketing strategy as their “people campaign,” and it has impacted everything they do since we launched it.

From print ads to collateral folders, the new strategy featured actual people sharing their stories.

Once a brand strategy had been developed, Pica built the organization a completely new website.

The marketing campaign included heart-warming banner displays at Portland International Jetport.
